Cirque Du Soleil - Twas The Night Before Milwaukee reviews
Festive and Perfect for Younger Audiences
I’ve been a fan of Cirque for many years now and seen a dozen of their shows. Was this their best show I’ve see? No. That being said they did a fantastic job bringing the cirque world into the stage (not an easy feat)
This was my son’s (7) first time sitting sitting all the way through a live show and he loved every minute of it. It’s definitely geared towards a younger audience than a normal Cirque show but it is still very enjoyable for all. Their more modern take on the story of The Nutcracker and Christmas songs was fun and upbeat and touched on how this new generation are too engrossed in the internet/iPads/iPhones and miss out on special moments with family. A very nice addition and very relatable these days (in my opinion)
It was the perfect length for kids (about 1 hour and 20 mins) with no intermission.
The costumes were fantastic, and the stunts were as grand and awe-inspiring as usual (which was amazing being that they were on a very old, small stage and there is no noticeable safety pads/cushions.)
I hope to make this a yearly tradition and look forward to the next show.
